Check out what we know about the latest and future Genshin Impact updates.
Are you struggling to keep up with the Genshin Impact updates? No worries! We’ve got you covered. Hoyoverse usually rolls out an update every six weeks. That means you won't be waiting too long for new stuff!
Here’s what you should know about the current and upcoming Genshin Impact update.
When will Genshin Impact 5.2 come out?
Genshin Impact 5.2 was released on Wednesday, November 20. The maintenance started the day before, on Tuesday, November 19 at 15:00 PDT / 18:00 EDT / 22:00 GMT.
Maintenance usually lasts around five hours. After it ends, you get at least 300 primogems in your mailbox as a thank you for waiting. If the maintenance takes longer than five hours, you’ll earn an extra 60 primogems for each extra hour.
Is there a new area in Genshin Impact 5.2?
Yep! Version 5.2 brings us new spots in Natlan, called the Facing the Windborne Cliff and City of Flowing Ash.
These new areas have homes for the Flower-Feather Clan and the Masters of the Night-Wind. And there's more. Version 5.2 also adds a new region called Ochkanatlan. It's a stunning yet dangerous ancient city filled with dark clouds. It's off-limits because of bad contamination and a scary dragon hanging around. So be careful if you decide to explore!
Are there any new quests in Genshin Impact 5.2?
Yes! The Archon Quest continues with Chapter V Interlude: All Fires Fuel the Flame. This interlude will let us uncover new things, focusing on the Flower-Feather Clan. We’ll spend time with Chasca and Iansan, and even get to see the Captain.
Version 5.2 also includes quests called the Tribal Chronicles for both clans.
What new events are in Genshin Impact 5.2?
As usual, there are lots of fun events in version 5.2. A cool one is the Iktomi Spiritseeking Scrolls. Here, we join Citlali and Ororon to solve a mystery and play some mini-games. Plus, you can snag a free four-star sword! Keep an eye on the Genshin Impact events guide for news on current and upcoming events.
Are there any new bosses in Genshin Impact 5.2?
Yes! The new boss is called the Tenebrous Papilla. It comes from another world and looks like a plant when not fighting. It can change its shape and copy strong monsters using leyline memories.
To defeat it, use elemental attacks to break its protective wards. Then, you can strike while it's confused. Nightsoul attacks work best against these wards, so bring your Natlan characters along.
There's also the fierce dragon in Ochkanatlan, but we’ll let you find that one yourself!
Are there any new features in Genshin Impact 5.2?
Definitely! One big new feature is two new saurians: Qucusaurs and Iktomasaurs.
The Qucusaurs live high up in the Flower-Feather Clan and are proud kings of the sky. They can fly and eat phlogiston to move higher and roll in the air. They can also use phlogiston wind tunnels to travel far. Yep, you can actually fly in Genshin Impact now!
The Iktomasaurs are bat-like and live with the Masters of the Night-Wind. They are wise and can see things others can't. They're great at finding leylines and can absorb powers from phlogiston objects. They can also gather info from graffiti art to create special items. These skills really help explore the new Natlan areas since many secrets are hidden.
We also get a new companion named Cocuik. He'll help us explore Ochkanatlan and can clear the Abyssal contamination. He lays out lights to help find hidden scraps that boost his power. Once he becomes strong enough, he’ll help track down the dragon in Ochkanatlan.
Fishing is back in Natlan too, with new lava fish to catch! Just remember to mute the dialog to avoid hearing “IS IT ANOTHER PAIMON?” over and over!
Version 5.2 brings a new gameplay mode called Automatic Artistry in Genius Invocation TCG. This lets you pick characters for a dedicated team, enhance them, and watch them battle automatically. Plus, there are new cards like Sigewinne and Rosaria.
Are there any new optimizations in Genshin Impact 5.2?
Yes! Hoyoverse is making some nice changes based on our feedback.
For instance, in the Imaginarium Theater, you won’t have to return to the lobby after every challenge. Now you can choose to go right to the next act after a battle.
There's also a new supporting cast record, so you can see which friends borrowed your supports this season. The party setup is easier too, now showing role icons, enemy stats, and more.
They've made it easier to sort five-star artifacts by when you got them. You can also lock artifacts with a single click based on popular settings.
There are updates for the Serenitea Pot too. The seed dispensary holds more seeds, and you can buy wood at the Realm Depot. The cooldown for the Boon of the Elder Tree is cut to five seconds. Plus, crafting and cooking animations are shorter.
Lastly, treasure compasses can now find more treasures like seelies and time trials. A quick-swap feature makes it easier to find hidden rewards as you travel.
