GTA 6 Details Leaks Online: Rumors

There’s a rumor going around that Grand Theft Auto 6 might use procedural generation and could come to PC after all. This game is the most awaited release of 2025. Fans are hanging on to every bit of news, especially since Rockstar hasn’t put out the second trailer yet.

Last year, they dropped the first trailer for GTA 6. It gave us a sneak peek at the game and introduced the main characters, Lucia and Jason. That trailer was a smash hit, with over 220 million views. But since then, we haven’t heard much about the game.

Recently, a gamer found the LinkedIn page of a Programmer at Rockstar. They’ve been there since 2020 and only list GTA 6 as their project. The programmer shared that they’ve been working on Rockstar’s in-house engine, RAGE, for consoles and PC. While there's no official word on a PC release for GTA 6, this suggests it’s a possibility. They also mentioned working with ray tracing and procedural generation for objects and game environments.

These hints suggest that GTA 6 could use procedural generation to build its huge open world. That makes sense since many big games do this. It takes a lot of time to fill a game world with trees, grass, and small details. Still, given Rockstar’s usual attention to detail, they might not rely too much on this method for big parts of the game. But remember, just because it’s on LinkedIn doesn't guarantee these features will be in the final game releasing in 2025. So, it’s best to take these rumors lightly until Rockstar confirms anything.

Also, there’s talk that the next trailer for GTA 6 is coming soon. Some fans think Rockstar might stick to last year’s plan and drop the trailer a week before the December update for GTA Online. If that happens, we could see the new trailer on December 3, 2024. But it's hard to say for sure. We’ll just have to wait for the official word.
