Witcher 4 is going to be better and bigger than Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077

Fans have been dreaming about The Witcher 4 ever since The Witcher 3 came out back in 2015. That game was a huge hit, packed with exciting battles and a deep story. But since then, there's been pretty much radio silence about the next installment. CD Projekt Red, the folks behind it, hasn't given any clues about the plot or when we might get to play it. Recently, though, they did say something encouraging. They want fans to know that The Witcher 4 is going to be their best game yet.

Charles Tremblay, who works as the vice president of technology at CD Projekt, had some strong words when he spoke to Eurogamer. He confidently stated that their next game will be bigger and better than The Witcher 3. He even went as far as to claim it will outshine Cyberpunk 2077. You might remember that Cyberpunk started with a lot of buzz but faced a rough start with bugs and other issues. Tremblay made it clear they don't want to go through that kind of situation again.

It’s good to hear some solid promises from them. Still, many fans remember how CD Projekt promised a lot before Cyberpunk came out. The lead-up to Cyberpunk was huge, but it didn't really deliver at first, and that frustrated a lot of players. So now, when they talk about The Witcher 4, some fans might feel a bit skeptical.

But even with that in mind, Tremblay's words could get The Witcher fans a bit excited. After all, The Witcher 3 is quite the adventure! With around 50 hours of gameplay, it takes players through a captivating fantasy world that's often breathtaking. It’s a tough act to follow, so if they can make something that tops it, that would surely seem like a big deal.

What remains to be seen is how CD Projekt actually raises the bar with The Witcher 4. They have made some big changes to Cyberpunk 2077 since its rocky launch. That gives hope that they’re picking up lessons from past mistakes.

Tremblay also shared that even if there are tough moments in The Witcher 4, they are fully committed to making it a standout game. He’s confident they’ll pour their energy into it and try to create something even greater than before. So although it may take a while before we see this game, there’s still a buzz in the air. Which Witcher fans can definitely feel!
